What is EXIF location data?
EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File Format. It is a set of fields stored with many image files, including camera model, capture time, orientation, and sometimes GPS latitude and longitude.
How Photo Location Finder reads EXIF
The app checks the selected image for GPS fields, extracts the coordinates, and asks the device's geocoding services for a human-readable place. If a reliable place name is unavailable, the coordinates remain visible so you can inspect them yourself.
Privacy and EXIF data
Location metadata can reveal a home, workplace, or travel stop. Review it before sharing original photos publicly. Photo Location Finder is built to make this information visible so you can make an informed decision.
Metadata tells you what the file records. It does not prove that a person, building, or event is still at that location.
